Executive Steering Committee
The Project Executive Steering Committee comprises representatives with positions of leadership in DSS. The Steering Committee is responsible for:
- Providing Project vision, guidance, resources, and support;
- Establishing Project goals and priorities;
- Monitoring Project performance measures and outcomes;
- Approving Project deliverables;
- Conducting Milestone Reviews;
- Ensuring stakeholder understanding and support;
- Soliciting community feedback regarding the Project; and
- Helping to resolve conflicts regarding the ACESS Project.
For the ACESS System Development Project, the Steering Committee will function as an advisory body to the Project Sponsor. The ACESS System Development Project manager will prepare and conduct periodic reviews with the Steering Committee during the normal monthly management meetings to discuss Project progress and issues. The Steering Committee may convene additional meetings as deemed appropriate by the Project Sponsor.

Project Review Advisory Team
The ACESS Project Review Advisory Team consists of Program Office experts who assist the ACESS Project managers in an advisory capacity by:
- Providing in-depth Project knowledge and expertise,
- Validating Project requirements,
- Conducting detailed reviews of Project deliverables,
- Providing input into Project planning,
- Providing experienced-based best practices information,
- Advocating change within the Offices, and
- Communicating barriers to change.
The Project Review Advisory Team is meant to represent the management level of the key stakeholders within the user agency. They serve as a review and advisory board for programmatic issues. By participation on this team the members will be in a position to determine the impact of the Project in operational areas and be able to assist the Project and the agencies in planning for implementation. The Project Review Advisory Team will meet quarterly as well as on an as needed basis.

In addition to advice and input from this team, direction is also received from several No Wrong Door committees which are concurrently designing a standardized service delivery model for the Department. The No Wrong Door Project Manager, Ms. Stacy McQuillin, directs ACESS project staff in this area.
Information Technology Advisory Team
The Information Technology Advisory Team is made of key members of DSS-Information Services management and a representative from the State-Office of Information Technology. This group will:
- Review recommendations from the Project for software and hardware products, configurations, and services to be used in the development of the system.
- Review and comment on technical deliverables that are part of the Project.
- Develop a detail knowledge of the Project IT requirements so that they can make appropriate plans to assure that Information Services organization is prepared to take responsibility of the system when it is turned over by the contractor(s).
The Information Technology Advisory Team will meet quarterly and on an as needed basis.

ACESS PROJECT LIAISON GROUP
This group consists of one OCS and one OFS staff member from each field office. Members periodically review and discuss ACESS project plans and approaches and advise the Project on the impact of the system under development on local field offices and the readiness of staff for the upcoming changes.
ACESS PROJECT CONTROL BOARD
This group meets weekly to review, research, and prioritize identified change requests. It consists of Project management staff. |
