OUR FUNCTION

DSS is responsible for developing and providing social services and improving social conditions for the citizens of Louisiana, and for rehabilitating persons with disabilities for employment.

The Department is composed of the Executive Office of the Secretary (OS), which includes Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) ; the Office of Management and Finance (OM&F) ; the Office of Family Support (OFS) ; and the Office of Community Services (OCS).
