No Wrong Door Legislation

An enacted bill of special significance to the Department of Social Services is House Bill 445(Act 88) that advances the "No Wrong Door" initiative from plan development to the actual implementation phase. This will enable the Department to move forward with the pilot program scheduled for implementation this fall in the Tangipahoa Parish Family Assistance office. The legislation is also beneficial in seeking federal waivers for cost allocation issues, and will help secure necessary funding for operation.
