Alyssa Loves to Read and Excels Academically

Alyssa has a caring and nurturing personality and describes herself as a "book worm."
Alyssa is a beautiful 11-year-old girl with a caring and nurturing personality. She is very reserved when she initially meets someone and it takes her time to become comfortable with people. She gets along very well with other children and once she becomes comfortable with individuals her true personality shines through.

Alyssa can excel academically and has proven to be an excellent student, but could use some encouragement when it comes to applying herself with assignments.  Alyssa describes herself as a "book worm" because she loves to read. Her favorite colors are pink, lime green and purple. Alyssa wants to be part of a family she can call her own and would benefit from a family that has patience with lots of love to give.

For additional information on Alyssa, or other children in need of adoption, call the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services at 1 (800) 259-3428.  If you are interested in providing a safe and stable home for a child who needs one, please call today or visit www.dcfs.louisiana.gov.
